We are super stoked to offer the new relaunch of the discipleship magazine Called Journal.   It went to the printers today and will be out soon.  You can subscribe on line with paypal or any major credit card.  The Journal is 68 pages, features great content for the whole family, theological articles, cultural articles, and the inaugural issue will have a nice premium cover and a whole new look and feel. Special Thank You to all of our subscribers who have been waiting patiently for the next issue.  Also… we are excited to offer a new digital format as well for the convenience of our readers.   Details are still being worked out and we hope this will add an entire new level of functionality and usability.

Exciting Midsummer Developments

The really big news of late is without a doubt, Christian Family Band Magazine.  This is a new publication that we have started and we trust it will be a blessing to many. Check it out on the page by that name and Subscribe!  We will do a full blown promo on this in a week when it is officially out.  We are hoping to publish quarterly in 2015.  The first issue is hitting the mail boxes any day.  Please say a prayer for this endeavor.  It will cost about $100,000 to produce a years worth of magazines.  We have zero budget for this so if you like what you see we have a lot of room for you to get involved!  Subscribe and donate.

Second is our Fall tour. We will be touring through Chicago, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New England States and spending a month in Canada.  Then we will drop down the east coast landing in Florida in December.  We hope to open up many new venues along the way, encouraging believers and assisting local churches in reaching out and discipling believers as well.  Anyone interested in Scheduling with us should call immediately.  We only have so much time so many places are going to get skipped this year.  We still have yet to minister in a few states like Rhode Island, Vermont, and New Hampshire, on the east coast.  Hopefully we can get to these in the Lord’s will and timing.

The Lake Itasca Family Music Festival is just around the corner.  This is one of the few events that we will be doing this summer and one we look forward to every year.  We have two families from California and one from Canada coming in to stay with us the week before the festival.  We will enjoy hosting friends we meet on the road here at our home.  Highlights will be volleyball, bridge jumping and swimming in the Mississippi River, and waterskiing the nearby lakes.

We are very excited about lots of NEW MUSIC coming out of the studio this summer!  Everyone has been working feverishly arranging several new originals from Jeremiah, two from Lydia, and of course Jesse is at the helm in the studio.  Jesse has added some additional amazing microphones and preamps so the quality of our sound just keeps getting better and better.

Being home all summer, after almost 9 months on the road, has brought much needed rest and relaxation.  Things like sleeping in our own beds, (sleeping in too), showering in our own showers, and sitting and having devotions on the porch all summer, working the gardens and planting our first ever flower garden, have been a real treat.  We are going to miss our home when we head back out on tour.

On a sad note we just said good bye to a very dear friend, David Holmes who passed away at 61 years old from cancer.  He leaves a young wife and three teenage kids, five newly married sons and daughters with their spouses,  and three grand children.  We will miss Dave and the deep conversations we have had with him about Jesus whom he deeply loved.  It has been a vivid reminder of just how very short life is.  Jesus said, “Let us work while it is day, for the night is coming when no man can work.”

Thank you for your continued interest and support of Durocher Family Ministries!

The Video Satisfied will be featured in The Christian World View Film Festival next weekend, March 15th. We enjoyed shooting this short film as a family in December while staying with David Durocher, the oldest of the Durocher siblings. In the days to come we will post some cool behind the scenes pics on how this film was shot. If you haven’t watched it yet, please do and share it on Facebook. Thanks and God bless!

Often we fail to take time to say “THANK YOU” to so many people who bless us and help us on the road.   Kindness is a wonderful divine quality and a fruit of the Spirit.  Traveling on the road is wearying and we are extremely grateful for all the folks that minister to us while we are ministering to them and others.  Puts a smile on our faces!  Thank You
