Filmed in a very historic revolutionary war cemetery in Southwick Massachusetts the home of origin of the D Team this video has lots of emotional ties. The song, written by Jeremiah, came out of a conversation with a prisoner doing life without parole in Donaldson Prison in Montgomery Alabama. The inmate who was a vibrant believer and much blessed in ministry behind bars made a comment to Jeremiah, “When I Rise I will truly be free,” hence the title When I Rise. Musically the song reelects the highs and lows of the Christian life. From the utter despair of lifetime incarceration to the exuberant joy of being God’s child and on mission with Him in His divine plan of Redemption, something which prison bars cannot hinder. This song serves as a paradigm of the Christian experience of every believer. Also featured in this Video is our old family dog Dallas. Dallas made 7 complete tours around the US and was in all 48 states… No he never made Alaska and Hawaii with us. He was put down in Canada while on tour when his health completely failed and his hips and kidneys went out simultaneously about a month after this video was shot. He was born on our farm and was our family watchdog and protector for many years on the road.
